Demeter Award of Excellence
The Women in Agribusiness Demeter Award of Excellence is dedicated to acknowledging the outstanding achievements of women in their respective fields and their exceptional contributions to the agribusiness industry. We celebrate and honor three distinguished award recipients at the Women in Agribusiness Summit each year in September.
Nominations for these exceptional women reflect the following criteria:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the agriculture and/or food industry.

Notable professional achievements.

An inspiring role model for other women in the industry.

Actively dismantles barriers, fosters opportunities, and acts as a valuable resource for others.

Consistently exemplifies professionalism.

Student Scholarships
Student Scholarships give young women that are aspiring to join the agribusiness community professionally, the opportunity to make important industry connections, see the many career options available in the sector, and learn about the trends and issues facing the industry today. Scholarships are offered by our generous sponsors to invite a student wishing to attend the WIA Annual Summit.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral candidate students attending an accredited college or university. Scholarship applications to join the 2025 Summit in Orlando are DUE by July 13, 2025.
