Women in Agribusiness Award Nominations Now Being Accepted
ORLANDO, March 4, 2025 – Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Demeter Award of Excellence. The award recognizes the outstanding achievements of women in their respective fields and their exceptional contributions to the agribusiness industry.

Up to three recipients are selected each year and invited to attend – with complimentary registration – the annual three-day Women in Agribusiness Summit, which will take place this year in Orlando, Florida, September 22-24. There, Demeter Award recipients will be recognized on-stage and presented with the award.
Criteria to consider when submitting a nomination are:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the agriculture and/or food industry.
Notable professional achievements.
An inspiring role model for other women in the industry.
Actively dismantles barriers, fosters opportunities, and acts as a valuable resource for others.
Consistently exemplifies professionalism.
There is no limit to the number of entries, and self-nominations are permissible. The nomination submission deadline is Friday, June 20. Nominations can be submitted here.
Women in Agribusiness has been bestowing the WIA Demeter Award of Excellence on exceptional women in the sector for more than a decade. Last year more than 50 nominations were received that highlighted extraordinary achievements, leadership acumen and innovative industry contributions.
Past recipients have been recognized for growing revenue tenfold, increasing membership exponentially and doubling attendance at events; spearheading diversity and growth and development initiatives to shape a new company culture; and leading mission-critical, million-dollar initiatives and successful product launches. From those in the meat and dairy sectors to those inputs, policy and regulation as well as entrepreneurs in agtech, the achievements of all recipients have been celebrated.
