Women in Agribusiness student scholars chosen
DENVER, Colo., September 5, 2024 – Women in Agribusiness has announced the 2024 student scholarship recipients who will attend this year’s Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Summit here, September 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency Denver, with special activities located at nearby Colorado State University Spur.
This year the WIA Student Scholarship program has recognized 25 students on the ag track in universities and colleges around the country. They have been paired with corporate sponsors, who generously fund the students’ attendance at the three-day WIA Summit, along with providing guidance and mentorship. Applicants must be full-time junior or senior level undergraduate, graduate or doctoral candidate students attending an accredited college or university.
The scholarships give young women the opportunity to make important industry connections, see the many career options available in the agribusiness sector and learn about the trends and issues facing the industry today. Additional benefits of the scholarship include lodging and meals at the event, a one-year WIA Membership for each student, an exclusive student-only breakfast and workshop with industry executives, as well as the tremendous opportunity afforded by mingling and networking with nearly 1,000 attendees at the annual WIA Summit.
Nearly 300 students have benefited from the WIA scholarship program since its inception and dozens have secured employment and job opportunities on the spot at the annual WIA Summit.
